Biography

Mark González,is a football player who was born in Durban, southafrica in July 10, 1984. His parents are Chileans. Since he was a boy, heenjoy the sports, because his father used to play in the professional football in south Africa. Mark comes to live to chile when he was 10 years old, he come to his grandparents house in Valparaiso. Hisgrandfather, Guillermo, signed him and his brother Raul in the famous club “Union Santa Elena”, and when his talent was shown, he goes to everton from viña del mar, and later, to wanders. In wanders,he was luckiest than in the other, and later of show his talent, he goes to catolica, one of the best teams of chile.
He start in catolica in 2002, and the next year, he gets the “LiguillaPre-Sudamericana”, and gets signed by Albacete balonpie, where he plays until 2005, when he broke his leg playing one match. This injury take him out of the fields for 9 months.
He was bought by the Liverpoolfootball club, but Chile, his country, wasn’t such a good team as he needed, so he was rented to the Real Sociedad, becoming a star in the team, and getting the nickname “Saint Mark” or “Red Hot ChilyChilean”. Ones he finish his adventure in spain, he goes to England, to the “reds” , and plays 25 matchs in the English Cup, with a poor salary of two goals.
