ABSTRACTThe following research will be focused on analyzing the impact generated by the use of educational videos, in order to know if these elements have any effect on adult learners in their listening skill development.
This research will be carried out in two different adult educational facilities where the researchers are developing their internship process. One of them is the institute calledCreando Futuro, and the other one the public school called Fermin Vivaceta.
Among the methodological instruments to be used are lesson plans, interviews and questionnaires. They will be validated by judge experts.
It is expected that at the end of the study the data collected may show the results that indicate what is the real impact of the use of audiovisual aids, specifically videos, focusedon the listening skill of a group of adult learners.

PROBLEMATIZATION

I. Topic of study
Teaching English by the use of video to adult learners

1.1 Topic Analysis
This research arises from our experience of both being students at an evening program of English pedagogy, and having the opportunity of developing our professional practicum at institutions during the evening time.What inspires us to research this topic is the fact that it has not been studied in detail. This gives us the motivation to get to know more about the subject in order to incorporate new practices that can help to develop English learning in adults.
Now, the subject of the English language learning comes from the concern that we, as future English teachers, have about the students being able tolearn and understand the target language.
From the research that we have made, we have not been able to find information about relevant works regarding the study of adult teaching strategies. Authors in general, explain the development of children and young learners, however we have not found any authors who specify how processes of learning in adults are.
This is why this study is interesting,because of the fact it is something new and it has not been studied profoundly. We know that this thesis, in some way, will impact in readers because of its high investigative content. Also, we think this study will be helpful for those wanting to work in this area, because it attempts to explain some learning strategies which would be useful for teaching adults.
