McDonalds
There are many ways the world can be conquered, when it comes to fast food and flipping burgers, McDonalds has the key. Starting off with a small restaurant by the name of The AirDrome, “inspired by the lush Southern California citrus industry, the McDonald’s opened up their firstrestaurant called the Airdrome, which sold orange juice, hot dogs, coffee and tea in 1937” (Abby, 2009). By 1940, both of his sons, Richard and Maurice, decided to move the restaurant a couple of miles away, between Fourteenth and E streets in San Bernardino and rename it McDonalds Bar-B-Que (McDonalds C. , 2010), where they would continue working in the fast food industry.
Eight years later, theMcDonald brothers shut down the restaurant to redesign there business plan and officially found McDonalds, leaving there menu to a restricted eight item choice, in which they offered the basic hamburger, cheese burger, potato chips, soft drinks, coffee, milk and a slice of pie (McDonalds C. , 2010). A year later, McDonalds introduces their milkshakes, in which they used the famous Multimixer milkshakemachines, created by entrepreneur and future owner of McDonalds franchise, Ray Kroc. By 1954, Ray heard about the extensive owned machines by Dick & Mac, and decided to head west to talk to the McDonald brothers (McDonalds Canada, 2006). His words were of great success, and sooner than later (a year later), Mr. Kroc opened his first McDonald’s restaurant franchise in Des Plaines, Illinois(McDonalds C. , 2010).
Ray Kroc never looked back, in fact, he was determined to live the rest of his life off of the hamburger business, and in 1961, bought off the McDonald brothers for $2.7 million dollars and had complete control of the company. (Communications, 2010). By 1971, McDonalds had reached every state and other cities around North America. (Abby, 2009) Now a days, McDonalds theMcDonalds company is settled around most countries in the world, expanding there franchises with an intensive rate and conquering the fast food industry around the planet.
When the McDonald brothers decided to close the store in 1948, the automobile industry was having its’ boom and they decided to base their company on a fast-food industry strictly as a ‘drive by’ restaurant, hence, their business wasto be set as a solid production company with a low amount of service (McDonalds C. , 2010). By 1962, McDonalds had a revolutionary change, in which their company metamorphosed from an almost complete product-based company with low service, to a mixed industry…it’s main change, was applied in Colorado’s restaurant, where they made the first McDonald’s restaurant with inside seating (McDonalds,2010). Not only did they imply a wonderful mixed-enterprise, but their marketing campaign with the golden arcs, and primary colors (the red stimulated the brain to produce hunger, and calls attention on kids; yellow is a light color that represents life and energy as well as a welcoming sense), brought attention upon the customers (WORLD) and further on led to a great success.
McDonalds is a mixedenterprise in which they offer a variety of hamburger meals, and recently, some ‘nutritious meals’ including fish sandwich, salads, and chicken nuggets. (McDonalds, 2010). It’s a restaurant that delivers their food as fast as they can make it, and, as stated above, play with the primary colors to prevail their sales. After the sale is done, the customer has a place to eat, and meanwhile, a placeto leave their children playing. The customer’s plans are usually not based on a long time meal, it actually characterizes itself for being a restaurant to have a quick meal, and leave. The main target for McDonalds corporation, are kids; with their famous-known Happy Meal, kids are triggered to have a small meal, play in the McDonalds park and leave with a ‘gift’ usually illustrated by the...
