What is baseball?
The first thing we can say about baseball is that it is a competitive sport which involved 2 teams made up of 9 players each.
It is the national sport in the United States,where much of its population is fanatical of the teams that make the majors.

But not only the United States is a land of baseball, is also very popular in Japan, Cuba, Canada, South Korea, Taiwan,Venezuela, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, among others.

The origins of baseball are uncertain, and other times in history it has been located in the Middle Ages, but it is believed thatthe sport closest precedent is in England.
Practiced in England, between 700 to 1500 (AD), a game between children who were called Rounders. They played in a field that was marked with posts orstones and did not have a fixed number of participants, but played in equal numbers for each side.
In the field there were no specific positions, but if they were defined a pitcher (called a packer orfeeder) and a batsman (striker).

At that time no one asked What is baseball? It took a couple of centuries and children in England were still playing Rounders, which came to be called Town Ball.But the Rounders was a well established sport in British society and that name was just like that, a denomination.

In 1744 it published "A Little Pretty Pocket Book 'by John Newbery, which describeda sport called baseball.
In 1829 he was presented 'The Boy's Own Book "(Libro own children) the writer William Clarke, which describes the rules of Rounders.
He was the librarian Robert W.Henderson who compares the two books and realizes that both regulations are the same, the Rounders and Baseball.

The fact that eventually catapult the Rounders and build the sport of baseball as battingwas the publication in 1834 of the 'Book of Sports', where Rabin Baseball Carver describes.

We can definitely answer the question "What is baseball? saying it is the evolution of various sports...
