My name is… Talent TV show
Second Term English Project 11th grade second
THE GOAL
Each student of the class will play the role of a contestant and/or participant in a talentTV show called my name is… Students will be able to speak in a simulated communicative situation as well as perform their favourite singer or band.
Task description:
You willrepresent a solo singer, band or judges with your classmates simulating the talent show called My name is…
This project is for TWO marks, so each person must speak at least 1 minute usinglong, well-structured sentences and appropriate vocabulary. In order to do that, students will have to previously write a script with what they want to say.
This project work has beendivided into two parts: written and oral parts. Every student should take a role and prepare it in order to play it.
Contestant:
-Get into pairs or groups
- Decide what band orsinger you would like to imitate
- Prepare a brief introduction of “ who you are”
- Write a script of what you want to say
- Sing a song and imitate your star.
Judges
- Youcan work alone
- Prepare a set of at least 20 possible questions to ask to the contestant
- Write reward words in order to encourage the contestants’ participation.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TASK 1: THE WRITTEN PART
* Please write a script of what you aregoing to say when presenting orally
TASK 2: THE ORAL PRESENTATION
Each one of the members of the group must speak at least 1 minute
* It is NOT ALLOWED TO READ, you have tomemorize parts. Improvising is fine, but keep to the script.
*Include appropriate VOCABULARY always.
*Speak clearly, naturally, and fluently. Be mindful of pronunciation and volume....
