Feeling superior than the other people surrounding has always been important for human beings, some of the reasons might be the benefits that this entails, another just the simple,irrational and even inhuman pleasure that some people feels when they see other people suffering because of them. Domination over other cultures or religions has been practiced all over the worldthroughout history have had as a clear objective taking advantage of all the resources that they get from the territories they domain, but is there something else behind this?, are these powerful Empiresseeking for something more to obtain from these subjected countries? It is not a secret that people from the white race have felt superior to the other races. Is there a possibility that under theeconomical interests in taking the power in another territory, there is the wish of humiliating another culture in order to satisfy their narcissist feeling of superiority? This essay tries to expose thepossible connection between economic and political benefits of having another country under control, and the needing of feeling superior.
Having another country under control brings many benefits forthe country that is controlling. Taking as an example British imperialism, we can say that it was almost necessary for Britain to take control over another country with more agricultural capacity inorder to respond the demands of the fast growing population, because the British islands are rather rocky than fertile. This was not the only fact why British needed to take full control of a greatagronomical producing capacity territory, also the industries were growing and they needed to get raw materials at a cheaper price and in a much bigger scale.
But there is another point of view that isnecessary to take into account the point of view of the subjected country, consider what would be like to have a more than self-sufficient country, and in the less expected moment a country that is...
