Discuss How Personal Differences and Preferences Can Impact Organizational Ethics
The first thing that we need to understand is that no matter where you work, you will always find differentpersonalities. Personal differences and preferences can impact organizational ethics in several different ways and perceptions. These two perceptions are the management perception and in the other hand,the general employee perception. Each level of authority has is own particular differences and preferences approaches in which an organization can be affected.
In the case of the managementperception, someone personal differences are more likely to possibly influence the employee under that superior. This can be due to several factors, like for example, the amount of time that the person hasbeen working in the organization or perhaps other factor can be the degree of influence as a leader within his or hers peers. Any of the reasons can lead to a dominant impact to the organizations andthe employees in it. When we talk about the lower level of authority, generally we are expected to believe that these individuals do not have the same level of impact on the organization ethics.Sometimes it is the case and sometimes is not. It is the general way to think but we have to be conscious that a lower level employee can have more power or influence versus a higher level manager. Eachindividual has is own personality and characteristics that will reflect how that person will think an act in an ethic situation.
It is because of the previous reasons, it is why the organizationor the leaders in it, cannot treat everyone the same way or demand a change because that is the way it is suppose to be; an organization with multiple personalities. It would be highly unethical fromthe organization; if they try or assume that everyone behaves the same fashion or trying to change the mode they do it.
