Hiding in the corner of Fear: Let the words out.

Public speaking is a tool that mankind has to interact with each other and share our

thoughts, emotions, and any other topic that we mightconsider necessary. Nowadays, it

is very important in every single aspect of our life, we have to able to communicate our ideas

clearly anywhere: work, school, home and amongst friends. Now,what happens when you just

cannot speak in front of others? The fear of public speaking or speech anxiety is called

Glossophobia .That is when our mind goes blank and we have no control over ourbody reacting to the sensation. We start sweating, blushing, shaking, we lose focus, and

any form of body language. We are actually afraid of making a mistake in public or making a

fool outof ourselves. The nervous system thus pours adrenaline into the body, and the body

reacts when it’s frightened. I know it is very frustrating and we feel as if we are losers,

cowards andincompetents. It's a social phobia that is related to self-presentation in front of an

audience. Scientists call it sometimes social anxiety disorder. This is a problem that most people
