Monuments in El Salvador
There are many beautiful Monuments in El Salvador that goes back to the early 20th century. There are some modern monuments too. Among the importantMonuments in El Salvador include the National Palace, Plaza Gerardo Barrios, Atlacatl Monument, Plaza Morazan, Water clock and Monument to the Sea. There are 10 monuments to be seen in theProceres Monuments.

Among the most recognizable El Salvador Monuments is the “Monumento a EL Salvador del Mundo” or the Monument to the Savior of the World. There are goodnumber of other Monuments in El Salvador and museums as well.

Two of the most important museums are "Museo David J Guzman" and "Museo de Arte Marte". The David J Guzman NationalMuseum of Anthropology has different Mayan and Pipil artifacts. The Museo de Arte Marte has a good display of the international collection of international art. These museums are situatedin the Zona Rosa district.

A children museum exists at the Tin-Marin museum, where children go and experience the world in a playful way. The old National Palace is being madeto house the National Archives and also the National Museum. The Museo de Historia Natural or the Natural History Museum that is located in the south east section of Saburo Hiraopark, is being set up by the National Zoo to display the early mammal fossils. These comprise a giant sloth, a mastodon and around 20 other species of animals.

Near the zoo is theMuseo Militar or the Military Museum that houses the old castle like "El Zapote" barracks that was built in the year 1895. The military museum has weapons and army uniforms of the17th, 18th and early 20th centuries. The army of Salvador used these uniforms.
