Holidays: Holy Week, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, All Souls’Day, Cross’ Day, Labor’s Day, Children’s Day, Valentine’s Day.
Prepositions of time: In, On, At.
LESSON 1
Content: “Prepositions of time”
TEACHING PHASE SEQUENCE
Warm-up Activity: Inthis activity, the teacher asks the class for four volunteers and asks them to stand up. Then, she explains that they have to form pairs, and each pair has to make a line in front of the board, andthe each person of the pair has to write in the board a holiday; after that, the student has to pass the marker to next person. Each pair has to write many holidays as possible. The teacher will give 5minutes for the students to write, and when the time stops, the pair with more holidays written will be the winner.
Activity 1: The teacher gives to each student a page with a wordsearch (Seefigure 2). Then the teacher has to explain that they have to fine eight names of holidays. The words are in vertical, horizontal and diagonal way. (There are 6 holidays)
