Michael Phelps was born on June 30, 1985 in Baltimore. his is a retired American swimmer and the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 22 medals.Plus, he holds the all-time records for Olympic gold medals 19 in total and 13 from individual events for male.
Winner of 8 gold medals in Beijing, Phelps took the record for the first-place finishesat any single Olympic Games. Five of those victories were in individual events, tying the single games record. In London he won 4 gold and two silver medals, making him the most successful athlete ofthe games for the third Olympics in a row.
Personality of a Champ
At finished the high school Phelps interrupted his studies to dedicate a 100 hundred percent at swimming. Quickly he passed frombeing an amateur to a professional at swimming without having competed in a tournament, in trainings as a rule he used to swim eighty kilometers weekly which he required five hours of hard dailytraining.
The reason of his outstanding performance was due to depuration of his technique (the dolphin kick) other virtue of Phelps was the efficiency on his armload which he got a better longitude in theimpulse in a lower of movements compared with others swimmers.
Trajectory at the Olympic Games
In 2000 he makes his first Olympic appearance at Sydney Games, becoming youngest male swimmer on theU.S. team at age 15. While he did not win a medal, he did make the finals and finished fifth in the 200-meter butterfly. The performance of Michael in Sidney surprised too many people and left much totalk about it.
He failed to win a medal in Australia but it was clear that Sydney was just a learning experience and this was to prove not setback.
