• Title: The Bar Code Tattoo

• Setting: The Story takes place in some city in the USA, 2025. The book describes the city almost like it is now but with a little bit more oftechnology including the bar code tattoo. Kayla (the main character) lived a lot of things in her art school, house and in some abandoned house close to the river. At the end everything happened inthe forest and in the “Whiteface” mountain.
• Characters:
 Kayla: She is a sixteen girl from USA, at first studying art but later running from the cops and the new rules of society. Is an onlychild living with her mother and father and having a best friend. At the beginning of the book she is beautiful with a long brown almost blond hair, white face and big eyes; but at the end her face waswith burns and her hair was short. Kayla suffered a lot in the story but she was a fighter.
 Ashley Reed: She is Kayla’s mother. In Kayla’s childhood she was a lovely mother always taking care ofher. But after her husband died she turned into an alcoholic and depressed woman. She was weak and always crying.
 Joseph Reed: He was Kayla’s father. He killed himself in his house one day whileKayla was in school. Her FBI record said that he had schizophrenia.
 Amber: The best friend of Kayla. She was beautiful too, but she was very interesting in doing what everyone else was doing andshe wanted to persuade Kayla to get the bar code tattoo.
 Mfumbe: A popular guy with big hazel eyes. He was very handsome and everyone in school knows who is he after he won a contest. Hispersonality is very kind and friendly specially with Kayla, he also was afraid of the tattoo even when his family was benefit with it. He never abandoned Kayla.
 Zekeal: The new guy in school. He was also ahandsome boy. He was a leader but also a traitor (at the end of the story).
