General Requirements.
The aim of this Technical Specification is to provide a comprehensive and self-explaining set of Requirements related to the Design, Manufacturing and Supply of a 300kW Power Converter.
Such Converter shall becoupled to Fuel Cell Generator, allowing to the system to work handling the complete Power Generation and driving it to the Network (TBC).
Scope and Purpose
This document applies to the 300 kW converter systems

Product Characteristics

General Description
The Power Converter can be presented in the form of one or several Cabinets. Each sub-converter shall include the following components:
- Mains circuit breaker (between Converter and Grid)
- Input Contactor (Between Generator and Converter)
- LCL-line filter to achieve high qualitysinusoidal voltage and current
- Inverter Unit, with several modules depending on the Current values.
- Brake Chopper Unit. Usually based on Thyristor Technology, the Brake Chopper is used to protect the DC Bus against overvoltage, for instance, due to Generator malfunction or Loss of Grid Voltage.
