Summary
The movie “The Wave” it’s about a true story that happened on a high school in Germany.
At a the high school, a professor named Rainer Wegner was in charge of a project with a class ofautocracy, but he wanted give the class of anarchy, but he had no option.
At first, there were only few students interested, around 20-30. On the first day, he explained the students what autocracy isand everyone gave their opinion about the theme.
Also, the professor was the coach of the team of water polo, and some of the players were on the class.
The second day, he assigned new placesstrategically so everyone can help each other and have a better class, then they decided to have a uniform for the project week, which is a white shirt.
On the third day, they decided to make a name forthe group, and the result was “The Wave”, which was proposed by Mark, then they make a logo for the group and created a website. On this class a lot of new ideas for promotion came out, such as thelogo, the name, website, stickers, printed shirts with the logo on it, and such more. Also the group got more united and started to have the same ideas. At the end of the day, some of the group decidedto go and let their logo all over the city and paste stickers and draw graffiti on walls, but they covered other group’s logos.
On the fourth day, they created a sign to salute between the members ofthe group, and some other people started to join, but they were making some kind of unrest things. Also they make a newspaper. Some anarchist guys intercepted them in the street and wanted to hit thembecause they covered their logo, but then a member of the wave took out a gun and threatened them.
By the fifth day, some people disagree on what they were doing and complained with the director. Onthe class, the professor made them write what were their ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc, about the group, and to write their opinion.
