Flag/Shield | The National Flagis a rectangle divided into three vertical stripes of identical measures, with the colors in the following order from the flagpole: green, white and red. In the white band and center, is the national emblem, with a diameter of three quarters of the width of the strip. The ratio of width and length of the flag is four to seven.Each color has a different meaning: green symbolizes the people's hopein the destiny of their race, the white represents the purity of the ideals of the people and the red symbolizes the blood spilled by the heroes of the homeland.

Flower/Tree | Just as the Ahuehuete is the national tree of Mexico, by popular vote, the dahlia is the national flower of Mexico, a flower that conquered the world, to the degree that deserves an annual tribute of many countries. The dahlia, named after the Swedish botanist Dahl, was known by Mexican Indians, who domesticated and cultivated with love, likeflower cocoxóchitl or chichipoztle. Originates, according to Dr. Francisco Hernandez, Cuernavaca and the Indians Tepozotlan and bred and crossed, obtaining numerous varieties of plant and flower, as flower growers who were always working from time immemorial. |
Anthem | The Mexican National Anthem is one of three national symbols of Mexico and became official in 1943 by decree of President ManuelÁvila Camacho. The original composition of the hymn consists of ten stanzas and a chorus, in letter referred to Mexican victories in the heat of battle and the tears spilled in defense of national territory. The Mexican national anthem was written in 1853 by poet Francisco González Bocanegra potosino and music by Spanish composer Jaime Nuno Roca in 1854.
