PARMALAT CASE
Esto es introductorio al caso
Parmalat, the eighth industrial group in Italy with about 36,000 employees spread across 30 countries, had accumulated huge debts in recent years in its evolution to become a multinational in the food sector, known especially thanks to its dairy products. Their growth with the support of some of the world's largest banks, including Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, Chase Manhattan and Citigroup.
The major audit firms in the world gave good accounts data distorting figures by tens of billions of dollars.
As far as is known, fraud has been committed with verysimple control of the correspondence from the auditors, falsified bank receipts with a scanner and a photocopier and changes of address to avoid having to change auditors, as required by the Italian law, which was easier to deceive the auditor traditional, which continued to disregard his work with the confidence born of winning with a uniform and historically false documentation. If the numbers of counterfeit stock are confirmed, we are talking about more than 10,000 million euros of non-existent assets, offset by thesame amount of bank loans, bond, equity and lost by all who have trusted the company. The company had falsified its financial statements from 15 years apparently with the complicity of a group of national and international banks (according to prosecutors investigating the case), which helped to hide losses and disguise with complex investment schemes and a stable structure executives loyal to Tanzi, who reigned in patriarchalstyle.
Parmalat is involved in a scandal after acknowledging a "hole" in its accounting Bonlat subsidiary, based in Cayman Islands, 4,000 million euros but, accordingto other sources, is actually between 7,000 and 9,000 million.

Esto es ya el desarrollo del caso.

During his years as finance director of Parmalat, Fausto Tonna was the main creator of the plot in order of illegal Calisto Tanzi, who now tries to leave one dead in their hands to deny having given orders to destroy the B and the computer used to falsify letters certifying that Bank of Americadeposits of 3,950 million euros for Bonlat in the Cayman Islands. Apparently, a counter group interrogated by Milan prosecutors, confessed that they had used ascanner to copy the logo of Bank of America and falsify the document that was credited the 3950 million. Bank of America filed in the courts in a lawsuit against Milan the Italian forgery written in private.
