WORKING TEENAGERS

Many teenagers in Chile have part - time jobs such as:

* Working in a store
* Babysitting (especially for girls)
* Working at a supermarket
* Helping children withhomework
* Gardening
* Washing cars
* Working at a restaurant as a waiter

These activities have advantages and disadvantages

*Teenagers working is a very good experience

* Working gives self confidence (el trabajo le da a uno confianza en si mismo)

* Teenagers are more responsible.

* Working gives the opportunity to: (eltrabajo da la oportunidad de)
* make new friends
* earn money (ganar dinero),
* learn about money (aprender acerca del dinero), *save money (ahorrar, guardar dinero)
*learn about the “power” ofmoney.(aprender acerca del poder del dinero)
*When you work, you can buy jeans, caps, sport shoes without / widáut/ your parents´money.(Cuando trabajas puedes comprar jeans , gorros, zapatos sin eldinero de tus padres)

* Working teenagers involves(pronunciación así: /inválvz/ lots of / ov/ responsabilities such as:
*get up early,
*be on time,not late (estar a la hora , no atrasado),
*sometimes /samtaimz/ wear uniform,(algunas veces usar uniform, like Macdonald,
*go to bed very early at night, (irse a dormir muy tarde en la noche)*comply /komplái/with their school obligations,to study , prepare/pripear/ tests, homeworks (cumplir con las obligaciones de la escuela, estudiar, preparar pruebas, tareas))

*Obligations, badgrades because you can not comply with homeworks or tests, bad sleep, eating problems because you can eat a balance diet, can lead /lid/ teenagers to stress. (Las obligaciones, malas notas porque nopuedes cumplir con trabajos o pruebas, dormir mal, problemas alimenticios porque no comes una dieta balaceada puede conducir o llevar a los adolescentes a stress)
