Dear Lovers, It was a little more difficult to face "Growthe topic of this issue'scover story ing Old Together," than weoriginally imagined. Growing older means we're getting closer to the end of our time here together. Still, Ralph keeps pointing out that getting older is better than the alternative... We hope that the articles on the topic offer some insights and fertile areas for your own discussions. In this issue we have several offerings in both Spanish and English. Our Spanisheditors, George & Maria Navarrohaveincluded their report on the M.E. Hispanic leadership in Sacramento,Roberto & Maria Santana. We are encouragedby the changesto the magazine and believe that it is meeting more of the communication needs of the Encounter family than in the past. We have been receiving input for the magazine from many different sources lately. It's exciting to read e-mail from Encounter couples and priests all overthe country and the world. We love to get your letters and ideas, and we are usually fairly responsive. So please send us a note and let us know what you think of the magazineand what you would like to see added or removed. We have planned to attend this summer's convention in Los Angeles ever since it was announcedat the last convention in San Antonio. We are driving our camper and bringing thekids. We see and hear so many names of those who are the Encounter, and convention is the perfect place to meet the faces.
