The Beatles were a rock and pop band from Liverpool, England that formed in the 60s. They are one of the most powerful, famous, and influential band in Rock and Roll history. Through their ten yearsof existence, and nineteen albums, they stretched pop music to its boundaries, producing some of the best music from their generation. The band was primarily consisted for John Lennon, PaulMcCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll, the group worked with different musical genres.

After the exposure of the Beatle’s TVappearance, the group’s popularity rose enormously everywhere in the world. Once they became famous they wanted to help other young artist and performers, so they created their own record company calledApple Records.

But like every band, they had many problems. After a long successful career, things just seemed to star falling apart, and The Beatles finally broke up in the 70s. This caused greatsadness for their fans. John was the first Beatles to leave the band, and was followed shortly by Paul. All four members embarked upon successful solo careers.

The Beatles released more than 40different singles and albums.
* According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles have sold more albums in the United States than any other band.
* In 2004, Rolling Stonemagazine ranked The Beatles number one on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time
* According to that same magazine, The Beatles innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 60s,and their influence on pop culture is still evident today.
* In 2008, Billboard magazine released a list of top-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the chart’s fiftieth anniversary: The Beatlestopped it.
