We asked some of our readers what they thought about the future.

I think the biggest change will be in the way we read. In the future we won´t read any books; we will read everything on computer. We will read everything on computer. In school,students will get computer discs to study, not books. Some people might keep books, but a lot of people won´t remember books at all.
Creo que el principal cambio será en la forma en que leemos. En el futuro no vamos a leer ningún libro, vamos a leer todo el equipo. Vamos a leer todo en el computador. En la escuela, los estudiantes recibirán discos de computadora para estudiar, no libros. Algunaspersonas pueden llevar los libros, pero mucha gente no se acordará de esta serie.
I think the future probably won´t be better. We should stop killing animals and help our world now, then it will be a much better place in the future. The seas and the air will become more and more polluted if we don´t do this and we will become ill. The future might be wonderful or it might be terrible-it´s ourchoice.
Creo que el futuro probablemente no va a ser mejor. Deberíamos dejar de matar animales y ayudar a nuestro mundo ahora, entonces será un lugar mucho mejor en el futuro. Los mares y el aire se volverá más y más contaminados, si no hacemos esto y nos convertiremos en los malos. El futuro puede ser maravilloso o puede ser terrible, es nuestra elección.
I don´t really know what will happen. Wemight all live on the moon or we might live under the sea. I think the bad things like pollution and war will continue and if there is another big war, we will all die. We certainly won´t become better people I´m not very optimistic about the future really.
Realmente no sé lo que sucederá. Todos podemos vivir en la Luna o vivamos bajo el mar. Creo que las cosas malas, como la contaminación y laguerra va a continuar y si hay otra gran guerra, todos vamos a morir. Desde luego, no se convertirá en mejores personas que no soy muy optimista sobre el futuro de verdad.
It´ll be great! We´ll be able to talk to people from all over the world on our computers. I think we´ll all have more time to do the things we want to do, like sport, because work will be easier. Computers will do most of it. Wewill go shopping on the computer and buy everything we want without leaving our homes. In the future we will go to school to have fun, to meet our friends and to talk and play games. We won´t have lessons, we´ll do them at home, on a computer.
And, who knows, England might win the next World Cup! (if that happens, I´ll be very pleased, and very surprised).
Va a ser genial! Podremos hablar conla gente de todo el mundo en nuestras computadoras. Creo que todos tendremos más tiempo para hacer las cosas que queremos hacer, como deporte, porque el trabajo será más fácil. Los ordenadores hacen la mayor parte de ella. Vamos a “ir de compras” en el computador y comprar todo lo que quiera sin salir de casa. En el futuro vamos a ir a la escuela para divertirnos, para estar con nuestros amigos ypara hablar y jugar. No vamos a tener clases, los vamos a hacer en casa, en un computador.
Y, quién sabe, Inglaterra podría ganar la próxima Copa del Mundo! (Si eso ocurre, estaré muy contento y muy sorprendido)
Alta teconología
Ahora mismo no puedo imaginarme la diferencia de vida de ahora a un futuro lejano, ni de un pasado lejano a un futuro lejano. En las películas lo pintan todo muy mal.Se ve futuros con alta teconogía pero sin embargo en el aspecto social y psicológico pintan igual a los seres humanos.
Cuando el género de ciencia ficción imagina y diseña el futuro para sus películas lo hacen muy mal (en mi opinión). Se imaginan alta tecnología pero los humanos siguen igual, y esto no es así. Del año 1500 al 2000 la humanidad ha cambiado increíblemente de forma psicológica y...
