The tigers are the most powerful species in Asia were its commonly seen. The tiger’s family is divided between six different subspecies the Bengal tiger, the Siberian tiger, and theIndochinese tiger, Malayan tiger, Sumatran tiger and the South China. From this group we are going to focus on the Sumatran, Bengal and Indochinese tiger.
The Sumatran tiger this rare tiger subspeciesinhabits that Indonesian island of Sumatran habitat that ranges from lowland forest to submontain and mountain forest with some peat-moss forest. This rare tiger it’s declared to be in danger ofextinction. The Sumatran tiger is said to be the only surviving member of the Sunda Islands group of tigers. Wild Sumatran tigers can eat as much as 40 pounds of meat at one time, after eating a lot they oftendon’t eat again in several days. The wild pigs, wild cattle and several species of deer are its major prey. The difference between the wild Sumatran tigers and the zoo Sumatran tigers it’s that wheneating the wild Sumatran often kill their prey and then eat while the zoo Sumatran eat a diet of horse meat and vitamins daily and they only eat 10 pounds per day. In their behavior the Sumatrantigers are very different to other cat species. Unlike many big cat species Sumatran tigers are very solitary except when it’s a mother and its cub. This is partly because in the forest it’s easier for asingle tiger to get its prey than for a big group.
The Bengal tiger live mainly in the rainforests and dense grasslands; most Bengal tigers live in India, but some range through Nepal, Bangladesh,Bhutan, and Myanmar. The Bengal tiger it’s a carnivore, his diet it’s based primarily of wild deer and wild cattle called gaur, also buffalo, young elephants, monkeys, birds, frogs, porcupines chital,wild pigs, boars, oxen and monkeys.
