Tinea cruris is an infection caused by a fungus in the groin. It is more common in adult men. This infection is usually caused by fungi called anthrophile.
The eruption has a raised edge red scales that spans the inner thigh from the groin or scrotum. Other names for this disease are: Ringworm of the groin, fungal infection – groin, Jock itch, itching in the groin, Tinea ofthe groin.
Is more common in men than women. Is often a problem for people with active lifestyles. Infection caused by a lowered immune system. Fungus from otherparts can contribute to jock itch. The type of fungus that most commonly causes jock itch is called Trichophyton rubrum. Some fungi that help other Candida Albicans. Jock itch is caused by several types of mold-like fungi called dermatophytes like other tinea infections. Dermatophytes live on the dead tissues of your nails, hair, and skin.

Medical professionals suggest keeping the groin area clean and dry by drying off thoroughly after bathing, putting on dry clothing right away after swimming or perspiring. Not sharing clothing or towels with others. Showering immediately after athletic activities,wearing loose cotton underwear, avoiding tight fitting clothes and using antifungal powders.
Some of the forms of prevention; Have an own towel to reduce the possibilities of transmitting this disease, and if you are obese or have overweight, you need to lose some weight because this help to reduce the sweating and the friction. Other forms are keeping your skin clean and dry. Like take a bathafter do physical activities, physical exertion and sweating. Change underwear and clothes frequently in a very hot weather. Wear loose fitting, clean cotton underwear. Have a very good personal hygiene. Wash personal items regularly like: bedding, clothes, and linens. Don’t share personal care items: towels and razors. Washing the hands frequently. And clean showers with strong disinfectants.Activities:
Unrestricted. But you need to wear loose fitting. And take a bath after do physical activities. Reduce the sweating and the friction.
Not special diet. Only don’t eat many sugar products.
Symptoms can be controlled from 2 to 4 weeks with a treatment.
