Stephen Council after a hard day of work in his farm while going back home to his wife
Sarah Council, he saw a man named TimHaskins. Tim asked Stephen if he could give his
wife and children a place to stay because they had been walking for two miles and hadn’t
found any shelter.Stephen was nice and caring for Tim’s wife Nettie Haskins and their
children, she gave them milk and bread for dinner. While the Haskins were staying withthe Councils for dinner. While the Haskins were staying with the councils they met a
man, named Jim Butler, Jim owned farms and sold them , he ownedone, a highly place.
Stephen thought that Tim should own that farm so he talked to Jim Butler to see if Butler
would give Tim a good deal and sell him thefarm at a good price but Butler said he
would give Tim the farm for two thousand five hundred ad he didn’t have to pay it right
away. Tim was glad butworried because he had nowhere to live but Council offered to
help him until he could be okay on his own. Tim and his family worked hard on his farmbecause they couldn’t stand the thought that they were homeless. Butler came to see the
farm and once he saw the job that Haskins made the farm cost doublethat it was before
he gave it to the Haskins, Jim wanted to sell it to Tim for five thousand now. Tim was
mad and refused to pay the money and called Jima liar and a thief. Once tim calmed
himself down, he told Jim that if he didn’t get off his property he would kill him. So
butler backed off and left.
