Unemployment, as defined by the International Labor Organization, occurs when people are unemployed and actively seeking work. How is unemployment measured? Theunemployment rate is a measure of the prevalence of unemployment and is calculated as a percentage by dividing the number of all unemployed among those currently in the workforce (1). Not allunemployment is categorized in the same way. Unemployment can be long or short. It may be due to friction, the meaning is that someone between jobs, or may be structural, as when a person's skills are nolonger required due to a change in technology or industry downturn (2).
The U.S. unemployment is an issue discussed at length and their causes are very controversial. We say that a series of eventsin the United States has led to a recession that is commonly known as the economic recession of 2007 (which is a financial crisis that may last for a period of few months to two years and affectingthe economy regional or global level, and leads to a financial crisis, unemployment, the market crash and economic depression), also known as the financial crisis of 2007. The causes of unemployment inthe United States have been closely associated with the financial crisis and recession. So I will develop in this essay are several factors that have contributed to the same.
An economy with agood GDP is the result of a legitimate demand and supply curves, which means that producers produce and consumers pay for goods. However, in the United States, a huge amount of goods are purchasedwith credit cards. This type of unhealthy purchase has led to a huge volume of bad debts and bankruptcy lenders, so the credit card companies and consumers suffer losses. This loss extends to alleconomic entities in the U.S. where a large number of companies have gone bankrupt, causing it the start of layoffs and job cuts. This is known as the financial crisis of 2007 to 2009.
