This is an essay about a story “Under the Greenwood tree”. In this essay we have to describe the characters, important places and important moments.

SUMMARY

It was in 1865 on the south of England, it was Christmas Eve. A group of men were gathering, they form the choir of the Mellstokand they have the costume for years on the times of Christmas go from house to house and sing Christmas songs. When they were together started to talked about the new school teacher Fancy, and thepossible change on the use of the violins. People started to like organ music; they think that the choir was the last choir to using violins on that part of the country.
On Christmas day everybody wentto the church. The choir always was sitting at the back, so they can see everything and everybody. Dick was one of the member of the choir, from there he could see fancy coming trough the door, hefalls for her at the first sight. But another man looks at Fancy, he was the vicar, Mr. Maybold. The vicar invited fancy to Christmas party. On the party Dicks dance whit Fancy. Before the dance finishedappeared Shiner who took Fancy away from Dick, dick got angry but he didn’t say anything. When the music over Dick went to talked whit Shiner and they exchange a few words. Suddenly Fancy and Dickdanced together again. They feel attracted to each otter After Christmas the only see a few times as dick walked past her house. Regrettably the choir men realize that the vicar no longer wants them inthe church. The man were agree to talked whit Mr. Maybold, so they went to see the vicar, but the vicar informs that Fancy is going to play the organ to replace their traditional music. The choirtried to negotiate whit the vicar the demurrage of the choir in the church, finally the vicar allowed their stayed and sing until St. Michael’s day in September.
