Student´s first approach to english language

Introduction

This teaching unit is destined to students who are studing the first cycle of primary (students from 6 to 7 years), morespecifically for students who will study english for first time.
In this first unit we will teach to our students greetings such as: Good Morning, Hello...;
they will learn to say hello, to introduce themselves and tell people the age that they have got.

Context of center

This teaching unit I have written is for “Colegio Público 28 de Febrero”, in Huércal de Almería.
This center teaches fromstudents of kindergarten to primary.
This center has electronic resources for learning the lesson: Computers with cannon to see videos, websites, Radio-cassettes/CD, s to listen to English songs, discussions or exercises.

Odjectives of center

The objectives of the Center for English classes for the first cycle of the "Colegio Público 28 de febrero" are:

1. - Understanding specific informationrelating to simple oral texts to familiar situations.

2. - Use the foreign language orally to communicate with the teacher and peers.

3.- Produce very simple texts about functions or family situations showing interest in learning about the basics of writing code.

4. - Read comprehensively short, simple texts, previously worked orally.

5. - To recognize and develop personal skills tolearn to use the foreign language as a communication vehicle.

6. - Understand some linguistic conventions to interpret the message conveyed.










Teaching objectives of the teaching unit

The learning objectives of this first unit, intended for students from 1st grade, are as follows:

1. - Introduction of the English language and teach students the usefulness of it the inreal life.

2. - Learn daily greetings such as: "Good Morning" "Hello" "Good-Bye" ...

3. - To be able to say who I am and how many years I have.

4. - The ability to ask someone his name and how old he is.

5. - The assimilation of numbers (0 to 10).

6. - Learn songs that facilitate learning of the teaching unit.

7. - Using the Internet as a tool for learning.Annex II of the LOE

- Understanding of simple oral messages to perform tasks in the classroom.
- Listen and understand simple messages from different media

- Oral interaction in real or simulated situations through verbal and non-
