ABSTRACT

The diagnosis was made on the students of 2nd and 3rd grade of U.E.E Lomitas of Carrizal, by applying the SWOT matrix,the result was that 60% of these students are not literate; reason as a problem arises poor performance, repetition and dropout rates. Propose this centralobjective determine the suitability of a set of strategies for reading and writing in children (as) in question. Therefore, this investigation is justified insofar as itpresents alternative solutions to the problem of literacy, by designing a set of strategies for the easy approach of children (as) a written language so areviewed as goals, achieve quality literacy. It took several important theories of thinkers such as Ausubel and Vygotsky, Paul Freud, among others. Followed amethodology framed in action research, using student population of that institution, they made use of observation techniques, tools were applied as descriptive records,anecdotal and rating scales. Concluding that the teacher should be more careful in the design of strategies, we recommend you start using reading as a socialpractice.
