A Healthy Life
Time :12 hours Divided in 4 classes.
Materials: Book English in Mind 1A
CD & DVD Player
Student notebook
Students: from 11 to 18 years old
Place: At AciscomLa Ceja on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Reading: Student will be able to recognize vocabulary about food and drinks.
Speaking: Students will express quantity, order food and talkabout food and fitness.
Writing: Students will be able to write a paragraph about food and fitness.
Grammar: Student will recognize and use countable and uncountable nouns, a/an , some, much ,
many anduse them in simple phrase
Listening: Students will be able to understand conversation about fitness and food.

10 Minutes: Greetings , News and Assistances
15 Minutes: Warm up-Ask students to look at page 40. Ask if they know who the people are in the big photo.(sumo wrestlers) what do they think the unit is going to be about.
20 Minutes: Read the background informationto the students and answer the questions on exercise 1 a.
35 Minutes: Read the article in page 40 “getting fat or getting fit” and listen to the EIM CD for exercise 1 b. And correct the answers.
40Minutes: With the book closed get vocabulary for food and write down on the board. Then open the book and fill the most that they can with the information, then listen to the EIM CD for the exercise2 .
30 Minutes: Practice the pronunciation of the new vocabulary.
30 Minutes: Activity “I’m making a sandwich and …” each student adds a new item to the sandwich and who forget and item losses.Homework : Page 100 and 101 exercises 1 and 2.

10 Minutes: Greetings , News and Assistances
15 Minutes: Warm up- Write onion on the side of the board in singular and plural.Elicit 2 examples then write sugar and ask students if they count it, get 2 more examples of uncountable nouns.
20 Minutes: Explain the rule. Give some examples.
