Taj mahal
The Taj Mahal is considered the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements of Islamic architecture, Persian, India and even Turkey.
Formal elements
Finial: top ornate domes, also used in Asian pagodas.
Lotus decoration: Outline of the lotus flower carved into the domes.
Onion domes, also called "amrud, typical of the architecture of Islam, and that wouldbeused later in Russia.
Drum: cylindrical base of the dome, which supports formal transition and on the basement of the building.
Guldasta: decorative needle attached to the edge of the bearing walls.
Chattri: kiosk columns and dome, also used in isolation or exempt as a memorial.
Borders: closing panels on arches.
Calligraphy: stylized writing of Koranic verses on the main archesArches or portals, also called pishtaq (Persian word for the free content).
Given: decorative panels flanking the main walls.

Is the biggest and tallest wall in the world.

Materials
The materials used are those available in the vicinity of the construction. Near Beijinglimestone was used. Other sites used granite or fired brick. Basically, it was a long wallof clay and sand, covered with several brick walls. That made it very resistant to the impacts of siege weapons.

is one of the major archaeological sites in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, located in the municipality of Tinum inthe state of Yucatan. Important and renowned relic of the Mayan civilization, the main buildings remain there under the age of the decline of Mayan culture known to archaeologists as the post-classic period.
Its name derives from the Mayan words: "Chi" (Boca), "Che'en" (Well), "Itz" (Mage,Warlock) and "a " (water), place the word is obtained wellhead Wizards of the water.
