Edipo Rey

Esta historia comienza en el reino de Tebas, cuando el nuevo Rey Edipo se reúne con su pueblo en una plaza de esta metrópoli, donde su pueblo le hace notar una horrible ycatastrófica peste que según los habitantes, se inició desde que la muerte de su antiguo rey, abatió las vidas de toda Tebas. Edipo consternado promete esclarecer acerca el crimen que se cometió yahace tiempo; maldiciendo al asesino y a sus adyacentes, diciendo que éste junto con sus protectores sufrirán los peores castigos terrenales que puedan existir.
Edipo manda por un adivino a que le ayudea resolver el misterio del asesinato. Pidiéndole a éste que le diga quien fue el que cometió tal crimen, el adivino se niega a contestar tal demanda, ya que, el adivino Tiresias advierte a Edipo...
