The Centralised Fault Display System (CFDS) enables quick and efficient line maintenance as it: -analyses failure sequences - displays/prints diagnostic data - identifies failed components for all A320 Family systems, not the case on 737NG

The wider fuselage of the A320 Family translates into roomier cargo compartments. This gives baggage handlers a superior working space inside the hold, easing and reducing handling time. The A319, A320 and A321 offer airlines acontainerised baggage/cargo system that saves handling time. This containerised system is not possible on narrower aircraft, it significantly speeds turnaround, reduces damage and bad weather spoilage, and enhances cargo opportunities.

The A320neo Family also incorporates fuel saving large wing tip devices called Sharklets and will enter service end 2015. The A320neo will deliver fuel savings of 15%, which represents 3600 tonnes of CO2 savings annually and a double-digit reduction in NOxemissions.
