In physics and chemistry, plasma is called the fourth state of aggregation of matter, like a fluid state to a gaseous state but in which certainproportion of its particles are ionized (electrically charged) and have no electromagnetic balance, so it is a good electrical conductor and particles respondstrongly to electromagnetic interactions long reach for.

The plasma has specific characteristics that do not occur in solids, liquids or gases, for what isconsidered state of aggregation of matter. As the gas, the plasma does not have a defined shape or a defined volume, unless it is enclosedin a container, but unlike the gas in which no effects major groups, the plasma under the influence of a magnetic field conforming structures such as filaments, beams andlayers doubles. 

Atoms freely move this state, the more the higher the temperature the faster moving gas atoms to collide when the speed is so highthat there is a detachment electrons.

Heat a gas can ionize the molecules or atoms (reducing or increasing the number of electrons to form ions), making ita plasma. ionization can also be induced by other means, such as the application of a strong electromagnetic field with a laser or a microwave generator, and isaccompanied by dissociation of covalent bonds, if presents.

Plasma is the most abundant aggregation state of nature, and most of the material in theuniverse is visible in the plasma state, most of which is rarefied intergalactic plasma (particularly through the intra cluster) and theestrellas.
