And then I stopped, looked around but couldn’t visualize the track anywhere, just some trees at the far end of the valley, where the sun was starting to come down in the wide openfield. Where had I gone wrong? What should I do?
I walked from one place to another, I couldn’t tell where was I going, soon I realized that my search was useless so I decided to stay right were Iwas. I sat down and stared at the stars in the dark night, they reminded me of my son back in the village, I remembered a song I used to sing to him as he went to sleep every day. I whispered thesong for a while. A cold shiver came rushing down my back, so I immediately stood up. I could see the bright lights of the village and the far end of the valley, I was too far away so I decided to campright where I was.
I checked my supplies to see if I had some left over food and water. But to my surprise I had less tan I expected, half a bottle of water and 3 old, moldy crackers. I had to savemy supplies wisely as I didn’t know how much time was I going to spend alone in the outdoors.
Night was falling, the temperature would drop as well. I had to find shelter as fast as possible. SoI turned my lighter on and looked for some trees to spend the night, but my search was harder tan what I expected. Until I spotted a broken trunk but it was full of ants and worms which would try tohide whenever I passed my lighter near them. This trunk wouldn’t work for the night I thought while I stood up again. My hopes were running low when I spotted a second trunk laying next to a big talltree , this one seemed in a better shape than the one I had found before. I had to work quickly otherwise I would freeze. I removed the crooked, old trunk and started digging a hole to spend the nightin.
