WHAT IS LIMSEDILE?
LIMSEDILE is based on many years experience of teacher education.
LIMSEDILE is closely based on the Licenciatura en Docencia del Inglés como Lengua Extranjera (LIDILE).

LIDILE opened in 1987after several years of planning and preparation ,with the help of staff of the Centre for Applied Language Studies of the University of reading ,UK, supported by a grant from the British Council.
Eleven generations of students have graduated or are still studying this professional qualification. Desertion rates have been usually low and qualifying graduates now occupy positions of responsibilityin both private and public universities. Several graduates have successfully completed their Master’s degrees abroad, and one is doing her Doctorate.
LIDILE has achieved a reputation for excellence at national level.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LIDILE AND LIMSEDILE?
LIMSEDILE opened its doors in 1996 and is directed specifically at teachers who have considerable experience, andnecessarily a very good level of English. Typically, entrants to LIMSEDILE will be people with work and family commitments; they hold a full-time job to bring in the income they need and they may have considerable commitments as a parent that prohibit them from attending a conventional full time course study.

LIMSEDILE is designed to make professional development programs available to the full-timeteacher who has the capacity, time, and motivation to complete the course.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR A LIMSEDILE ENTRANT?
LIMSEDILE entrants need to have an excellent level of English. We do not teach English. You must take a test and attend an oral interview in English. In addition, they will need strong motivation, a minimum of three years of teaching experience and willingnessto participate in online virtual classes. As already stated, a high school certificate (Mexican or foreign ) is needed.


WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO ENROL IN THE PROGRAM?

Paso: 1.A—(hasta 28 de FEB) PAGO DE LA SOLICITUD DE “ASPIRACIÓN” que podrá bajar de la página web www.escolar.udg.mx haga click “REGISTRO DE SOLICITUDES de INGRESO”  y aparece otra pagina.  
Pulse en Ciclo “2011B” despuésabajito en  “tipo de Aspiración”, busque la carrera de Lic Semiescolarizada Docencia de Ingles- está en el mismo renglón que enfermería y Tbjo. Social .

Una vez llena la solicitud volver a entrar con su número de registro y fecha de nacimiento e imprimir el formato de pago. Una vez pagado, entrar de nuevo en 24 horas, imprima la cita para foto credencialización y enviarla junto con laficha de pago y sus documentos.

PASO: 1-B - Entrance examination (HASTA MARZO 30)

All candidates will have to do an English exam. We will inform you about where you can take the exam depending on place of residence. There are a number of centers in the Mexican Republic available. You will also cover, practical aspects of LIMSEDILE and allow for a two –way exchange of views. COST $500 pesosoutside of GDL. Payable to the examiner.
$400 pesos IN GDL.

WHAT COURSES DO I NEED TO TAKE?
STEP 2 – FOUNDATION COURSE
All Candidates will have to take the online Foundation course (propedeutico) and pass it with a minimum of 80 BEFORE they can register on-line with our University.

LIMSEDILE COURSE STRUCTURE
Obligatory modules: (All modules must be taken)

Limsedile consists of 10obligatory courses and 3 electives ones (out of a choice of five).
In addition, if you have not done something similar you will be required to do the PRACTICUM module which is a course based on your own experience as a teacher in your special teaching circumstances.

Finally, you will have to do the Integrative Module which is a module equivalent to doing a short thesis for a “licenciatura” (B.A.)...
