ABORTION
Define abortion as the expulsion of the fetus at an early period of gestation were it’s not fully developed and can not survive in any way out of the womb by natural cause or induce. Thereare several types of induce abortion, some are: suction abortion, salt poisoning, by dilatation and curettage and cesarean. This is common practice worldwide long before there were historicalrecords, however as recently as 140 years ago, Catholicism argues that the fetus becomes a being with soul 40 days after conception, but scientists do not share a single vision on early life, it is evidentthat a fertilized egg is alive like the sperm and menstrual blood and even a cancerous tumor.
People who chose to make this cruel decision do not think there is a living being inside her womb from themoment the sperm fertilized the egg. Assuming that the fetus is a person, we can say that everyone has the right to life, the mother is entitled to dispose of her body but the right of a person tolife is stronger than the mother. Each year half of all pregnancies are unplanned, with 1.3 million each year or 24% of all pregnancies terminated by abortions. Women between 15 and 19 years of agerepresent 19% of all abortion in United State and women between 20 and 24 represent 33% of abortion and about 25% of abortions are obtained by women 30 years or more.
The decision to have an abortionis fairly simple, the most common reason is lack of money or not having a stable relationship with a partner, some women say that the pressure of a spouse or partner was one of several reasons theychose the abortion. It’s frightening to see the statistics of abortion around the world, when there are so many family planning methods. It is important that the couple is informed and educated aboutthe different methods of contraception to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, it is also important to get sex education for better health and transmission protection against sexual diseases.
