Guiding Question: Why is Achilles so important in the Trojan War?

Achilles was one of the mosthandsome and heroes on the Trojan War, he gave great comfort to all the people with his fighting skills and confidence when he talks. In the Trojan war he was one of the most recognized people, and even though he wasn’t a king he only was another soldier.
Thetis and Peleus were Achilles parents. Thetis was a very pretty nymph, she was followed by Zeus and Poseidon. Then Zeus is warned thatthe son of Thetis will be greater than its father. This stopped the pursuit of Zeus and Poseidon, leaving Peleus with the hand of Thetis. Statius wrote the Achilleid and in the first Century AD, Achilles is born and his mother Thetis dip him into the Styx river, making him immortal. The only problem was that she needed something from were to hold Achilles so she decided to hold him by the hill andthat’s why the only mortal part of Achilles was his ankle. Homer introduces Achilles in the first two lines of the Iliad:
“μῆνιν ἄειδε θεὰ Πηληϊάδεω Ἀχιλῆος οὐλομένην, ἣ μυρί' Ἀχαιοῖς ἄλγε' ἔθηκεν,” (1)
Achilles´ name means the grief or the loss of someone or something. In the Iliad that’s one of the themes, and this name is because Achilles always losses something or just can’t find his purposeof living. His name is also Laos that means a corps of soldiers. His names among the Greeks was Achilleus and for the females Achilleia. Achilleia is the gladiator fighting or Amazonia.
Peleus son of Aeacus had a brother, Telamon and peleus and him were in some expedition against the amazons. In one of this expeditions they kill their half-brother Phocus. Peleus was the purified of murder.Thetis means to set up, establish, in the Iliad Achilles calls his mother a defender.
The first two lines of the Iliad read: “Sing, Goddess, of the rage, of Peleus' son Achilles the accursed rage, which brought pain to thousands of the Achaeans”.(2) In this first part of the Iliad it says that Achilles was a great fighter and he was a son of a god making him superior from the other soldiers inthe Trojan War. It all starts with Achilles vowed to Agamemnon and taking Briseis the love of Achilles as a slave. He was so angry and dishonor that he decided to leave the Greek forces.
As the battle continued the Greek started to loss and they thought it was because Achilles decided to stop fighting. Agamemnon send Odysseus, Ajax and Phoenix, three of the greatest leaders of the Greekforces, to ask Achilles if he would come back and he could have Briseis and other gifts. He refused the proposal and told them to sail home. The Trojans were led by Hector and resisted the attacks from the Greeks, making them to loss hope and spirit.
When the Greek forces were about to ship out of Troy Patroclus, the son of Menoetius and beloved comrade of Achilles, got Achilles armor and decided...
