Introduction:
Over the past decade our society has experienced a global revolution powered by the World Wide Web. Internet has brought to our life a newway to experience our daily actions. From finance transactions to social networks Internet shape the way in which we interact today.
But, in a world, which its main tool is run by electronic devices,how can our life not be affected by it?
Development:
Internet is a powerful tool that gives us what wee want or need with just one click. Shopping, gambling, gaming, video entertainment, arejust some examples of how many things we can enjoy from the coziness of our homes.
The problem to this is that we spend so much time now days in front of a computer, that we change all our habits.Before we realize this is happening, our whole life spins around the Internet.
After sometime Internet starts to become the most important part of someone’s life, creating all surds of problems. Likeany other addiction, bit-by-bit it will sneak up on you; at the point that you wont even realize you are having a problem.
One of the problems with Internet and addictions in general is thatyou loose the concept of what is and what is not important in your life. For example, an internet addict may think that it is more important to be logged on in social network tan go to work, attend hisor her family, and other chores that most people do daily.
Internet may be a window to other addictions; in the way that Internet gives you an opportunity to get close to things like gambling,drug use, pornography, among others. All of the previous can evolve and become into an addiction for the subject. As an addiction it causes all kind of problems, which I mentioned before.Conclusion:
Internet can be a powerful tool but it can also cause you all kinds of problems as any other addictions. As any other addiction it will eventually take over your life and put you into a hole....
