Adele Laurie Blue Adkins (n. Tottenham , May 5 of 1988 ), known simply as Adele , is asongwriter British of soul , blues , pop , and jazz , won eight Grammy Awards and three Brit Awards .

The record company XL Recordings , Adele offered a recording contract, after a friend Adele published a demo account in MySpace in 2006. His debut album, 19 , was released on January 28, 2008, which has sold about 6.6 million copies worldwide. With this record, Adele received the award for BestNew Artist at the Grammy Awards 2009 . Her second studio album, titled 21 , was released in 2011 and has sold over 23 million copies. 21 was the best selling album in 2011 and is ranked 47th best selling album of all time, has remained for 42 non-consecutive weeks as the world's best selling album. The album has managed to get three consecutive number one singles in the count Billboard Hot 100 inthe United States: "Rolling in the Deep","Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain". In total, sales of all their musical productions are over 80 million copies distributed in over 30 million albums and 50 million singles.

Adele was the big winner at the 2012 Grammy Awards , taking six awards: two for his album 21 , 3 for her single "Rolling in the Deep" and one for "Someone Like You".Development


Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born May 5, 1988 in Tottenham, London, England. She grew up the daughter of a single mother. Adele graduated in May 2006 at the Brit School of Performing Arts of Croydon (Sponsored by the Brit Awards).A month later, she published two songs in a performing arts website, and began performing in UK tour. He became interested in the world of music when heperformed at a presentation at his school where he sang the theme "Rise" Gabrielle, and gradually acquired influences from other artists such as Ella Fitzgerald.

Musical Career

On 19 March 2008, Adele signed a record which included a joint venture between Columbia Records and XL Recordings for her foray into the United States. In March 2008, he embarked on a brief tour of North America. On June10, her debut album“19”was released in the United States, commercial got a good reception and a certified gold record by the Industri Recording Association of America on February 20, 2009.In the mid- In 2009, the album had surpassed 2 million copies sold worldwide.

In 2008, it was announced that Adele would be the musical guest on the October 18 episode of Saturday Night Live, for which he hadgreat expectations due to the visit of Sarah Palin. SNL earned its best ratings in 14 years with 17 million viewers. The artist performed "Chasing Pavements" and "Cold Shoulder" the next day, the album 19 topped the iTunes and was ranked at number five on Amazon.com, while "Chasing Pavements" rose to the position number twenty-five. For the week of October 26, the album reached number 11 on theBillboard 200, a jump of 35 places over the previous week. Several weeks later, he returned to the U.S. for a tour in 11 cities.



In the 51st edition of the Grammy Awards 2009, Adele won two awards in the categories of "Best New Artist" and“Best Female Pop Vocal Performance”for the single "Chasing Pavements", was also nominated in 2 other categories, "Best Record of the Year" and "Song of theYear" for the song "Chasing Pavements". Adele was also nominated for 3 Brit Awards in the categories of "Best British Female", "Best British single" and "Best British disclosure act”
