ALEX MORGAN
Alexandra Patricia Morgan, better known as Alex Morgan, is an American soccer player, born in Diamond Bar, California United States on July 2, 1989, currently has 23 years, Play aslead in the Seattle Sounders Women of the W-League of the United States.
As a freshman at the University of California, was the top scorer of the California Golden Bears, with eight goals in 2007. Hislast goal in his first season was against Stanford in the second round of the 2007 NCAA tournament, tying the game at 1-1 with less than two minutes left in regulation and force the game into overtimeand then a criminal. However, Stanford prevailed, and went on to the third round.
Continued to lead the Golden Bears in scoring during his second season with nine goals in 2008, despite being outfor most of the season due to national team commitments. His team, the California Golden Bears pulled out of the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament while Morgan was playing in the 2008 FIFA U-20held in Chile.
He scored fourteen goals and eight assists in 2009 this season with the Golden Bears. It is the third to score more goals in the history of the California Golden Bears, with 45goals.
On January 14, 2011, was drafted as the number one player in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. He made history by becoming the first California Golden Bears women's soccer playerto be drafted in the first round of Women's Professional Soccer.
His first appearance with the U-20 is in the CONCACAF U-20 Women 2008 in Puebla, Mexico, where he scored his first internationalgoal against Cuba.
He has been with the national team, his first appearance as a substitute in a match against Mexico in March 2010, and scored his first international goal after coming on as asubstitute against China in October 2010. Its most important goal to date came a month later in a crucial road game against Italy, with a Women's World Cup berth line U.S.
