Adjetivos
Comparative adjectives are used to compare the diffrence between 2 nouns, or a collective nouns.
Samples:
• The black dog is older than the white dog.
• My house is bigger than my sister's house.
• The yellow hat is more expensive than the green hat.
The Rules for using Comparative Adjectives

|"Than" is usually usually used after the comparative adjective. |
|-er is added to the end of a 1-syllable adjective |cold - colder |The winter is colder than the summer. |
||small - smaller |The green hat is smaller than the yellow hat. |
| |tall - taller |Most basketball players are taller than me. |
|-er is added to the end of an adjective with 2 |early - earlier |Icame home earlier than my sister. |
|syllables, if the adjective ends in -y. |happy - happier |I am happier now than 1 year ago. |
| |crazy - crazier |My friend is crazier than me. |
|"More" or "less" is used for adjectives that have 2|honest - more honest |The policeman are more honest than criminals. |
|syllables, if the adjective doesn't end in -y. |difficult- more difficult |The last test was more difficult than the test|
|Adjectives that end in -y, change the -y to i and add |modern - more modern |today. |
|-ed.| |Our generation is more modern than our parents|

|"More" or "less" is used for adjectives that have 3 or|expensive - more expensive |Mycar is less expensive then my sister's car.|

|Adjectives that end in -e, only -r is added to end of |nice - nicer | The beach is nicer then that park. |

IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS
There are some important exceptions to these rules. Here are two of the mostimportant exceptions:
