Management is a technique that is always maximum efficiency in every organism. It is one of the most important tasks of human activity. All the phases of our modern lives are affected by theadministration.
All concepts, objectives, methods, principles, theories, techniques developed gravitate around six functions: forecasting, planning, organization, integration, management and control, whichare the basis for good management.
Management as a science:
The management science is a systematic body of knowledge, accumulated and accepted with reference to the understanding of the generaltruths concerning administration.
The management science is not as wide or as accurate as physical science, like mathematics or chemistry. Accordingly, management will never be a pure science like thephysical sciences, but it is well on the systematization of knowledge and generalization of certain realities. Certainly, the administration is a social science term that accurately describes their truenature.
Management as an art:
The art of managing a personal creative power with the addition of the ability in performance. The contemplation of problems, events and possibilities develops personalcreative power, while experience, observing and studying the results contribute to skilled performance. Put another way, the art of management involves viewing an orderly whole from chaotic parts,communicating the vision and achieve the objective. It is the "art of arts" because it organizes and uses human talent.
