Henri Fayol (1841-1925)
Según propias manifestaciones, los estudios administrativos que realizo Fayol tenían fines exclusivamente prácticosy de aplicación personal; no obstante, al cabo de varios años de experimentación. Observación y control constantes, estos le sirvieron no solo para alcanzar un éxito sin precedentes sino que también le permitieron postular el cuerpo doctrinal de los principios de la administración.
Las investigaciones de Fayol se encuentran hacia todas las empresas y al estado. Poco a poco se convenció de que losprincipios administrativos eran aplicables a todas las empresas, cálquese que fuera su naturaleza, objetivos y magnitud.
Es necesario destacar que las teorías de Fayol se fueron concebidas para la dirección de las empresas y, por lo tanto, pusieron mayor énfasis sobre los aspectos culturales y gerenciales.
