INTRODUCTION

In this unit we’ll take a look at the adverbs. The adverbs of time, place, manner and quantity answer the following questions: when, where, how and how much? They don’t have a fixedposition in the phrase and they function as circumstantial complements.
In Spanish, there are adverbial locutions that function in the same way as an adverb, and we’ll see how an adjective canfunction as an adverb.

That they are adverbs
An adverb is a type of word invariable that acts like core of the sintagma adverbial, complementing to a verb, an adjective or an adverb (for example: slow, slowly).
Thefunctions sintácticas of the adverb are, a part of the one of core of the sintagma adverbial, the ones of complement circunstancial of the verb, the one of cuantificador, degree or complement of theadjective (very good, recently done) and the ones of cuantificador of another adverb (quite far).
