ABSTRACT
Boston Logan International airport is a criticalcomponent of the complex movement of passengers and goods in Massachusset; ranks 20th in the nation in passenger volume 19th in flight movements and stimulates the regional economy by approximately $7 billion per year.
It covers 2,384 acres, has six runways, four commodity terminals with excellent service for the travelers, a high level system of security with the last one technology parking areaand free transportation system between terminals, employs approximately 12,000 workers. Some airlines use this airport are Air Canada, Air France Air Tran Airways, Alaska Airlines, Alitalia, Lufthansa, Porter Airlines SATA International Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Swiss International, Air Lines TACV, United Airlines and some freight carriers ABX Air, AirNet Systems,Air Transport International, FedEx Express, UPS Airlines. The airport reliever uses by KBOS are Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, New Hampshire, located approximately 44 statute miles north-northwest of Logan and T. F. Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island, located 63 statute miles south-southwest of Logan. This airport is a huge public enterprise, literally a city in its ownright, with a great variety of facilities and services. Massport must be operate in conjunction with airlines, concessionaries, firms doing business on airport property and this combination of management and private enterprise create a unique landlord-tenet relationship.

Time zone is UTC -4 (UTC -5 during StandardTime), the airport elevation is 20 ft and variation of 16W. It covers 2,384 acres and largely surrounded by water, employs an estimated 16,000 people.
