The Tower of London was built in 1066 by order of William the Conqueror, by the river Thames, as a protection against any attack to occur by sea. Since its origin has been Citadel, Royal Palace, seat of government and place of very bloody events in the history of England. Many personalities, kings, queens, princes, princesses,criminals and traitors were tortured and executed inside. Distinguished as Thomas More, Anne Boleyn, the poet Chaucer, Jane Boleyn, Catherine Howard ... ran this bad luck.
Today, the Tower of London has become one of the major tourist attractions of the city, the beauty of the resort and its deep rooted historical past and a treasure locked inside, the Jewels Corona.
The complex consists of thefortress, with its ten towers, a palace, dungeons, shrines and museums. The control tower is provided by the 42 "Beefeeaters", popular for their clothing, thanks to the famous Geneva. During the afternoon ceremony occurs keys in ensuring the Tower at night.

- Tips: We recommend arriving early in the morning, with some advance on opening time because in most cases thereare huge queues that can take away the desire to enter.
