The atmosphere is a natural gaseous system essential for life on planet Earth. An air pollutant is a substance in the air that can be harmful for humans and also the environment.
Pollutants can besolid, liquid or gases and can be natural or made by humans. There are two types of pollutants: primary and secondary. The primary ones are usually directly emitted from a process, while the secondaryones rather form in the air when primary pollutants interact. An important example of secondary pollutants is ground level ozone. Some pollutants can be both primary and secondary.

In these sources is included stationary, mobile, chemicals, fumes and others.

The first timehumans experienced the air pollution when fires were built. Since that they we have to pollute more on the surface. The high amount of population, now day’s industry’s and motor vehicles are growingthe air pollution problem. We need to get methods to clean up the air. The most common air pollutants are nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides, hydrocarbons, particulate matter and carbon monoxide. Allthese pollutants are dispersed in our world doing enough to cause serious health problems.
