Air Pollution

Hermosillo has been called by many people “The Sun city”, but is also known for many other reasons. Even now it is considered as one of the best cities to do business with, up to a point that it ismaking a name for itself around the globe. Not only that, but the city has been growing to a level most of us never imagined, and as it grows in territory, its population grows as well. This importantdemographic explosion has brought industries to the city and of course, job opportunities. But not everything can be all good, as we know, good is always accompanied by evil. Air pollution in the cityis reaching a level that we had never experienced before, thus making the city a potential dangerous environment for future generations to live in.

When we talk about air pollution, we immediatelythink of carbon dioxide and industry’s pipes, automobiles, etc. but those are only few of the real threats we deal with nowadays. Toxic residues from factories fly over to our air; the air we dependon, which sometimes contain, feces from our mascots, regular smoke, methane, among others, and all of them go directly into our lungs, causing a lot of different respiratory diseases. Even now, theun-famous smog is starting to present itself around our sky, which, at this point, is unacceptable. The city is not considered as big as a metropolis to be dealing with this kind of troubles yet, and ifwe don’t do something about it, the city will be surrounded by greenhouse gases sooner or later.

We all know that information is the strongest weapon to fight against this type of troubles, and ifeveryone knows about these issues we have to deal with, we all can make an effort to control air pollution. There are a lot of different measures we can put into practice to reduce contamination onour skies.
