I hereby request your valuable support so that an Energy Engineering student at this University might carry out a work-study program, “Estadía”, at your company. This is an external educational process which is performed after the third year of study inprivate or public organizations which are selected according to the professional profile of the degree program. It is an integral part of the coursework and is assigned a number of hours and credits so that it may be evaluated, and must be accredited by performing a research project.
The purpose of this process is to strengthen the student’s competences through real-world interaction in theproductive sector, carrying out a project or specific activities that benefit the organization as well as the student’s academic development.
The student’s performance will be evaluated jointly every month by a technical advisor who is in charge of following up on the student’s activities in the organization, and an academic advisor from the University, each respectively responsible for 60% and 40% ofthe student’s grade.
As follow up to our institution’s authorization for this University’s student to carry out his academic work-study program, may I present Claudio Armando Blancas Melo, a student enrolled in our Energy Engineering Degree Program. His enrollment number is 103110249 and is interested in performing his practical/academic program in your company from September 2nd to December 13,2013. This authorization has been issued contingent upon the fulfillment of your company’s requirements for this process.
