THE USED
Biography
The Used is a band from Orem, Utah, USA. Its members are Bert McCracken (vocals), Jeph Howard (bass) and Quinn Allman (guitar), Dan Whitesides (drums).
The genre of theband is often debated. The band refuses to talk about this, but their lead singer, Bert McCracken told music magazine Kerrang! that gender does not matter while still making good music
In October1999 the band was formed Dumb Luck, comprising Quinn Allman, Jeph Howard, Branden Steineckert and Ashton Johnson. The band just released an EP, but then went through many changes in its members. Sometime later the band was forced to change its name, and began to call "Used", while vocalist Bert McCracken entered the band. In 2001 they recorded a demo produced by John Feldman of Goldfinger band thensigned with Reprise Records. The band had to change his name 'Used by' The Used ', as a Boston band already had this name and in 2002 released their first album, The Used.
Maybe after the bandreleased a live album Memories including demos, songs that had not been on their first album and live tracks, and contain a DVD.
In 2004, joined the band My Chemical Romance a tribute to the song UnderPressure, originally from the well-known band Queen with David Bowie, and so raise funds for the victims of the tsunami that struck the coasts of Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Thailand, several othernearby islands, and some African countries the same year, this song was included as a bonus track on their second album In Love and Death, which was released on September 28, 2004 through sub -labelReprise Records.
On September 12, 2006, The Used announced in the official website Branden Steineckert (drums) ceased to be a member of the band, the October 12, 2006, the band announced in aninterview for MTV that would be his new Dan Whitesides drummer.
The band finished recording their third studio album and its title has been confirmed as Lies For The Liars and was released on May 22,...
