Because of current global economy challenges, changes in market spending habits, but most of
all taking into consideration Quick-Mart’s cash-flow, and employee needs, effectivelyJanuary 1,
2010, all Quick-Marts will post new hours of operations. The changes are as followed and affect
all stores: all Quick-Mart stores will stay closed on Sunday’s, and Monday through Saturdayreflecting reduced hours of operations; opening 1-hour later and closing 1-Hour earlier. Please
express to all Quick-Mart employees that no stores will close, but Quick-Mart store expansion willhalt until the economy strengthens. Please contact HR immediately to understand how the
changes will affect individual employee’s work schedules.
Though it hurts me to make such drastic changes inQuick-Marts 50-Year history, I feel the
changes will greatly reduce expenditures and thus save jobs.

Over the last number of months and as communicated in previous memos, due changes in our customers’ spending habits, store sales are still considerably down for 2009.Tocombat the matter, Quick-Mart decided to change store hours and employee work schedules in efforts saving jobs and controlling expenses.
Beginning January 1st, 2010, all Quick-Mart stores will beclosed all day Sunday. In addition, store hours will adjust opening 1-hour later and close 1-hour earlier Monday through Saturday.
What does this mean to you? Below spells out how each individual’sschedule is affected:
• No Quick-Mart Stores are closing!
• All New Stores are on hold until further notice.
• All Managers and Full-Time Quick-Mart Employees will work four 10-hour days.
